DELEGATES LETTER
Metro Users Group Member: It is once again, time to plan for our annual Metro Users Group Conference. This years event will mark our 35th annual meeting. The Times Picayune has agreed to host the Metro User's Group Conference. The conference will be held from Saturday, January 25 through Wednesday, January 29, 2003. Our continued success depends on participation from all the Metro Users. Your contribution on cost saving ideas, revenue-enhancing opportunities, and improved maintenance procedures has certainly paid dividends. The Metro Users Group will continue to provide the best networking and information gathering opportunities necessary to keep your Goss equipment running far into the future. This year at the breakout sessions we will collect information from the delegates to update the equipment and information directory. Each newspaper in attendance will be mailed a copy of the completed directory. We strongly urge you to book your room at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel under the Metro Users Group Room block. Early registration will make it easier for us to accommodate everyone. The deadline for making your room reservation is January 8, 2003, please do not delay. Where: Sheraton New Orleans HotelPlease make your own room reservation by filling out the enclosed form or by contacting the Sheraton at 1-800-325-3535. We have a group rate starting at $149.00. The cut-off date for the MUG room block is January 8, 2003. After that date the rooms can be released for general sale at the prevailing resort rate. When & What: Saturday, January 25:Please fill out the conference registration form entirely. If you have failed to mail your annual dues for your newspaper ($125.00) this must be included with the conference registration fee. The cost for registration is $150.00 per delegate and must be received by January 13, 2003. Registration at the conference will be $175.00. Golf Tournament: The arrangements for the golf tournament are moving along nicely. Plenty of refreshments will be available during the exciting day of golf. Please fill out and mail the enclosed entry form if you plan on participating in the event. Registration for golf will be limited to a first come basis. There are a limited number of spots.
