Back in ACTION
Back to BASICS
Back to BUSINESS
In 2010 we brought Metro Users to you through the power of the web. It was well received and it was an inexpensive way of staying in touch and sharing information in tough times. A common response from many of you was that the web doesn't replace the value of a traditional conference. WE AGREE. The industry continues to be faced with ongoing challenges. This is why it is more important than ever to join forces to share cost saving ideas, improve efficiencies, and help keep our equipment printing newspapers. So, we're back in action. Our focus in 2011 is to bring a cost effect traditional seminar to both Vendors and Delegates. Delegates, this is the most cost effective, training, planning, brain storming, meeting you will attend all year. There is no doubt that travel requires justification at any company, today. So here's what we have done. We have dropped all the frills and fun. Yes, back to basics!! We are going to have GOSS engineers and trainers instructing formal classes. We will have industry experts sharing best practices and their experiences from across the world. We are creating an atmosphere to share your ideas and experiences. Our industry needs this more than ever. There's no time for golf, no time to waste. This is back to business, let's get together have a productive meeting and then get back to work and try to keep the newspapers alive.
We are not charging Newspaper Delegates to attend. That's right!! Free training and information!! We have picked Tucson in June as a meeting place. Yes, we know it's very hot there in June. But we've secured room rates for $95. We have shortened the program…I know you would like to stay away from work longer…but your boss needs you. So here it is in a nutshell - A weekend program, free training, inexpensive hotel, AND the best part…we are going to feed you!! for free!! We have included two breakfast' and two lunches and snacks for energy breaks and two receptions. How can your boss say no?
Vendors, we included you in some of our meetings in 2009 at Ft Worth. We think it was very productive and informative. We look forward to more participation in Tucson. We need your knowledge and expertise to make the conference a success. The newspaper vendor and customer relationship has developed to be one of a partnership. It is as partners that we will survive as an industry and hopefully return to the prosperity we enjoyed in the past. Please join us in Tucson in June and please pass the word to your customers who may not have attended or heard of the Metro Users Group. We look forward to seeing all of you in Tucson June 4th - 5th at the | |
Sincerely;
The MUG Board
